Sean Strickland hasn’t given up on taking shots at Israel Adesanya. Both men were involved in a heated build-up before their clash at UFC 293 last year where Strickland shocked the world when he defeated Adesanya by a unanimous decision over 5 rounds. The build-up to the fight also saw Strickland take shots at ‘The Last Stylebender’ by referencing videos of his questionable behavior with his pet.

And now, in a recent post shared on Instagram, it appears that Strickland has fired back yet again at his rival. The post contains a picture of ‘Tarzan’ with his pet involved in a unique ‘tug-of-war’ that may be a continuation of his jabs at Adesanya!

Leading up to the fight at UFC 293, Sean Strickland was vocal about his issues with Israel Adesanya’s behavior from his past. During the open workouts for the event, Strickland had stated, “Somebody needs to call PETA after what Izzy does with his dog…” after videos had been uploaded to X and YouTube of Adesanya engaging in what ‘Tarzan’ deemed controversial activities with his pet.

Strickland didn’t stop there as after winning the UFC middleweight title from Adesanya, the pair had exchanged some words inside the Octagon. As such, ‘Tarzan’ clarified the conversation in the post-fight press conference where he stated, “I think he was mad that I made fun of his dog, I’m not even joking. I’m like ‘What the f*** is going on here, man. Are we having this conversation?’ Like truly, he was mad…”

And it seems that Strickland hasn’t let the issue go as he posted a picture of himself with his pet engaging in a ‘tug-of-war’ with their mouths. He captioned the post, “Hey babe wanna have a kid? No, get a dog lmao”. By sharing the post in a manner that could be interpreted as a subtle jab at Adesanya’s personal choices, Strickland demonstrated his commitment to keeping their feud alive outside of the Octagon.

This ongoing antagonism adds another layer of intrigue to their rivalry, capturing the attention of fans and fueling speculation about their future interactions. However, there is another UFC middleweight who wants to settle his score with Sean Strickland!

The UFC Vegas 90 main event winner wants to run it back against Sean Strickland

UFC middleweight, Brendan Allen avenged his loss from 2021 against Chris Curtis at the recent UFC Vegas 90 event and kept his winning streak intact. And now, he wants to settle the score with Curtis’s teammate, Sean Strickland.

‘Tarzan’ was the first man to defeat Allen in the UFC back in 2020, when he managed to stop Allen in the second round of their fight. But after his win against Curtis, Allen stated in the ESPN UFC Post Show, “I think Chris is actually a harder opponent for me stylistically (than Strickland), just because of his size.”

He also emphasized that Strickland’s boxing-heavy style doesn’t faze him as he revealed his dad was a boxer too and he’s got plenty of experience in dealing with the nuances of that style. Allen further went on to put Strickland on notice as he stated, “It’s a different time, it’s a different year, it’s a different pace, it’s a different me. Sean’s a good fighter… it’s just my time right now.”

It remains to be seen if Allen will get a chance to redeem himself against Strickland as the former middleweight champion has also been vocal on social media about Allen’s victory against Curtis being a result of ‘poor judging’.
