The entertainment industry has witnessed the exemplary rise of Joe Rogan as a comedian, podcaster, and color commentator. On top of that, Rogan’s successful venture with the comedy club, ‘The Comedy Mothership’, has got him a well-deserved place in the headlines. However, no venture comes without a handful of issues.
In the recent episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, the podcaster invited a fellow comedian and podcaster, Dave Smith, to the set. While the duo talked about a lot of stuff, one of the things that weren’t easy to dodge was the conversation about Rogan’s anti-woke club. After Smith narrated a hilarious incident with the UFC commentator and shared a laugh with him, Rogan declared that he has been having problems with egoistic comedians at the club.

Joe Rogan talks about the issues at his anti-woke club
In episode #1977 of the JRE, Rogan, and Smith had a deep conversation about a variety of topics. However, it all began with talks about the JRE host’s comedy club. Smith shared one of his experiences that made the two of them break with laughter. He recalled the time when he texted Rogan and congratulated him on the club’s opening.
However, Rogan replied with an apparent typographic error that read, “I can wait for you to come see it”. Although the podcaster cleared it out that he meant to say, “I can’t wait for you to come see it”, it did bring out some delight in the two.
Then, Rogan revealed that he had been having problems with fellow comedians at the Mothership. He revealed that a lot of people wish to pay the club a visit, but the tickets sell out way too fast. This apparently brought out the egoistic persona of some people.
Rogan said, “It has been a problem, though, because you know, a lot of people wanna come. Some of them are just, you know… People are weird like they wanna headline and you know that they know, like you know that you’re not really a headliner. What are you talking about?”
Despite putting down some renouned comedians, Rogan gave credit to a crucial individual who makes it all tick.

When Smith talked about his feelings about the club on the JRE and commended Rogan for the incredible work, the podcaster showed the world his humbleness and denied to take credit. Instead, he credited the team, especially the architect, for the success of the club.

Rogan said, “Well, it wasn’t me. I mean, it was, sort of, but it was a lot of people. And a lot of it, Richard Weiss, the architect and designer. He’s the f**king man. He did an incredible job.”
