In 2009, the movie industry met with immense success when the movie Avatar hit the theaters. The James Cameron movie achieved both commercial and critical success. While many people around the world loved the film, UFC color commentator Joe Rogan shared the same opinion. He spoke of how excited he was for the second installment of the film and also shared his opinion on the first part.

In episode #1841, Joe Rogan was in conversation with fellow comedian Brian Redman. Speaking about the movie, Rogan said, “I’ve been excited about this for years. Avatar 1 was a amazing movie…So visually stunning. There was so much going on with it.” 

Further, the podcast host reacted to the second installment of Avatar, which will release in December 2022. Looking at the trailer, Rogan said, “This movie was so good. It made gigantic blue ladies with huge cat eyes hot…This looks wild…This looks good.”

It seems safe to say that Avatar had a profound impact on Rogan. The veteran color commentator also spoke about how multiple movies could be branched out of Avatar and compared it to Star Wars.

Joe Rogan compares Avatar to the Star Wars franchise

Both Avatar and Star Wars have achieved a lot of success at the box office. After watching the trailer of the second installment of Avatar, Rogan said that the movie could replicate the same path as Star Wars.

The color commentator said, “Isn’t it interesting though? It’s like every now and then, like with that movie, someone can create something, as a movie so visually stunning and so unique, like…you can have a 100 movies branch out of Avatar. Just like Star Wars.” 

Rogan further mentioned the immense amount of movies in the Star Wars franchise, and mentioned Avatar can do the same. He said, “You could 100% do that. Because Avatar is like such a, it’s such an iconic feeling you get when you watching that movie.” 

One particular scene in Avatar seemed to have caught the eye of Rogan. Describing the scene, he said, “When they’re in the jungle and he almost gets jacked by that giant Rhino-looking thing. There’s so many moments in that movie.”

Joe Rogan seems to have enjoyed watching the first part of Avatar. From his statements, one could say that the veteran color commentator will definitely watch its second installment too.
