Jan Blachowicz is all set to face Glover Teixeira at the UFC 266 event. The light heavyweight champion is coming into the fight on the back of an impressive victory over Israel Adesanya. Therefore, many expect Blachowicz to once again defend his title at UFC 266.

While Blachowicz is clearly focused on Teixeira at the moment. He knows that there are many young fighters in the division and that they may well be future title challengers. During a recent interview, Blachowicz shared his views on fighters like Jiri Prochazka and Aleksandar Rakic.

He said, “No, it’s good because its lot of young blood in the division. They are, you know, fresh, something fresh. Something new in the division, so I’m happy because when I go to training, I’m thinking about these guys and it motivates me to train harder.”

“To be in shape all the time because you have to be ready for these young guys. And I’m happy and I’m excited and that’s it, you know I enjoy it. The division is so tough right now so, well we what’s gonna be in the future. But right now my focus all about Glover, and after Glover we’ll see who’s next. But I will be ready for everyone of these young fighters and that’s it.”

At 38 Blachowicz knows that keeping up with the younger fighters would require intense training and dedication. However, it seems like the champion is clearly ready to face any challenges that come his way.
