‘It Should Never Happen’- Dana White Criticizes Sean Shelby for His Role During Face-Off

The lightweight fight between Jeremy Stephens and Drakkar Klose was called off last weekend after Klose suffered an injury as a result of a push from Stephens on the weigh-in face-offs. The hard-hitting duo was set to co-main event of the UFC Fight Night card headlined by Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum.
UFC President Dana White was not present during the face-offs. Rather, it was Sean Shelby standing between the fighters to prevent any unwanted incidents. But his effort was clearly not good enough as ‘Lil Heathen’ almost pushed his opponent off the stage. Further development was stopped as security intervened.

Stephens and Klose are both coming off knockout losses in their last fight. Klose was stopped by Beneil Dariush in a back-and-forth contest. Stephens, on the other hand, was on the receiving end of a spectacular knockout by Calvin Kattar. But both fighters are super entertaining and exceptionally skilled by their own merit.

The fight should be a barn burner whenever it takes place. One can only hope the company decided to rebook it as soon as Klose is good to go again. It is an important fight in the lightweight division and will have some extra heat involved after the recent saga between both fighters.
