

As Luke Rockhold will soon return to the Octagon at UFC 277 against Paulo Costa, people are excited. This has also gotten people to talk about the beef Rockhold and Bisping used to have.

In fact, both the fighters trained in Jason Parillo’s gym for a while. That’s where their rivalry brewed and resulted in their clashing at the UFC.
Speaking about the same, Parillo explained, “Yeah, well, the story is, I mean it goes back to back when Luke was Strikeforce champion. To be honest, you know, Luke Rockhold was a good friend of Pat Tenore, the founder of RVCA. And he brought him in here to work with me.”
“You know, one week and I’m like ‘hey man, while you’re in town, why don’t we, you know, I got Bisping. I got a fight coming up with Bisping. So you want to move around with him a little bit’.”

“That happened. They moved around, they sparred, Bisping talked a little sh*t obviously that started their little feud over the handful of years. But after Bisping retired, you know, he saw, he saw Luke was coming in here.”
The coach felt that out of respect for him and the gym, both Bisping and Rockhold shook hands when they crossed paths later on. He further said, “It started off ugly, stayed ugly for a lot of years, but those two were able to be two gentlemen towards each other.”

Thus, both the fighters faced each other in the Octagon twice and were able to come to squash their beef.

What does Michael Bisping think about Luke Rockhold now?
As reported by ‘Low Kick MMA‘, Bisping and Rockhold were seen training together frequently. Besides this, Bisping said some great things about his former rival on his podcast.

‘The Count’ reminded viewers of the strengths Rockhold has as a fighter. As per the MMA analyst, Luke Rockhold has great top control and is an expert in Jiu-Jitsu. Hence, if he defeats Costa in the upcoming fight, Bisping feels a title shot would be next in line.
