UFC President Dana White has done some serious business in the past two years. Although the MMA promotion took a hit at the beginning of the pandemic, it bounced back even stronger, with two blockbuster events involving Conor McGregor in 2021.
Add the title defenses of ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ and the ultimate lightweight showdown into the mix, and you’ve got yourself the most profitable calendar year for the promotion.

However, White, who is not one to rest on his laurels, has broken more records. The UFC head honcho revealed the UFC surpassed The Rolling Stones in ticket sales at Honda Center, Anaheim, California, with its latest PPV event, i.e. UFC 270: Ngannou vs. Gane.
In the latest episode of the Full Send podcast with Mike Tyson and the NELKBOYS, Dana White said:
“I wanna say it’s been like two and a half years. Two and a half three years since we’ve been in California and definitely down here at the Honda Center. But we’re the number 1 and number 3 all-time gate now at Honda Center. It was the Rolling Stones with 3.5 million, this weekend sold out a 5 million-dollar gate.”
“So, we are number 1 and number 3 and the [Rolling] Stones are number 2.”
