The UFC currently dominates the mixed martial arts business. With some of the best fighters on their roster, they have made their name synonymous with the sport. Most businesses look for opportunities for expansion. Similarly, the UFC is also looking to expand itself. Dana White shed some light on this.

The UFC President appeared in an interview with Yahoo Sport’s Kevin Iole. White had previously mentioned the UFC would build its own hotel. Hence, Iole questioned White’s plans regarding the same.

Answering the question, White said, “Yeah, so ever since the pandemic started, we’ve been renting this hotel out over on Tropicana. If that was our own hotel, we would have saved a ton of money. You know, there’s fighters coming in and out of here all the time with the PI. We do fights, you know, five to six fights a year here in Vegas.”

“Yes, we’re building our own hotel. It’ll be right here on property and yeah, it’ll save us a ton of money. … I think the hotel will actually go up on this other side, where the dirt is over here, across if you pull in our main gate at the headquarters here. The hotel will be there…”.

White further tried to give Iole a bit more understanding of the exact location where the hotel would be located. Besides this, the promoter also revealed that the Apex will undergo a huge expansion. Thus, there will be more storage space and more seating.

When asked the reason behind the Apex expansion, White explained that the Apex was built for Fight Pass. The pandemic might have been a hiccup in their plans. As a result, it would be interesting to see what their new Apex will look like.

The UFC President also spoke about the upcoming UFC 274 event. The event is just around the corner and some of the best fighters will be seen fighting. Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje will be seen in a title fight.
