In a recent message shared via his socials, Kelleher shared a rather heartbreaking message. The 36-year-old revealed details of an injury and admitted it might have serious implications for his fighting future. ‘Boom’ also dropped an update on his upcoming fight and the UFC’s stance on him with regard to the injury.

UFC star Brian Kelleher provides an unfortunate injury update

In a recent message he shared, unranked UFC bantamweight Brian Kelleher revealed his upcoming fight was off. The reason, he revealed, was “an injury that the UFC just isn’t comfortable with.” The 36-year-old added that he “was willing and ready to compete but they’re looking out for the best for both parties.”

Kelleher admitted that he did not know more about the situation himself. A fighter to the core, he wrote, “I’m willing to risk it all to live the life I desire” but added, “perhaps it’s a blessing in disguise as much as it hurts.” The former Bellator star also wrote, “fighting for now will be on standstill upon further review.”

He expressed his gratitude for everything so far, saying, “It’s been amazing to chase my dream down in this life and get to the pinnacle of fighting and compete in the best organization in the world.” He also expressed hope “that things can change” and that he “can continue to do what” he “was born to do.”

Kelleher also expressed gratitude to all the fans who supported him throughout his career. He also mentioned he was planning to stay involved in the sport and welcomed ideas and opportunities from his fans.
