The Ultimate Fighting Championship rose to the top due to one single fight with two victors. Stephan Bonnar and Forrest Griffin were the two men who took over the responsibility of pulling the UFC out of the lightless depth. The fight was indeed one that had people glued to their television from the beginning of the bout until the end. Moreover, the excitement in the voices of the commentators like Joe Rogan and the audience said it all. The finale of the Ultimate Fighter season 1 propelled the Octagon into the spotlight.

Sadly, the unfortunate demise of one ‘The American Psycho’ has the entire world of MMA drowning in tears. However, fans have begun to recover the video footage of the fight and the voice of Joe Rogan in extreme levels of excitement definitely caused the fans’ hearts to take a jump. 

Joe Rogan was left in awe with the Ultimate Fighter season 1 finale

A video clip was shared by one of the fans on Twitter with the caption, “The fight that Dana White himself claimed saved the UFC. RIP Stephan Bonnar.” The footage showed Bonnar and Griffin standing high, although both were battered and on the verge of dropping to the ground. However, it wasn’t just the fight that caught everyone’s attention.

The beloved UFC color commentator simply could not keep himself calm during the fight. Without a doubt, he claimed that the fight was one of the very greatest he had ever witnessed. He said, “What is keeping these guys going? Bloodied, battered, but neither can be beaten. And they are on their feet again. Live for the first time in cable television in UFC history. 50 seconds left, and it’s gotta be the craziest war I think I’ve ever seen.”

But as the fight continued, Rogan said, “I’m in awe. I’m just in awe to be here watching this.” Undoubtedly, every single fan shared the same emotions as the podcaster. However, there had to be one who lost and one who rose victorious. Although the scores were titled towards Griffin, Rogan believed that the fight had two winners.

Rogan said, “Oh, what a finish! What a finish! I say, hand down two contracts. How do you call a winner in that? That’s there’s two winners in that fight. Period. That’s not even a draw. Wow!”

The fighters had nothing but respect for each other

As the fight concluded with every judge putting forth the scores 29-28 in favor of Griffin, Bonnar collapsed. His legs simply gave up after the intense fight. However, Griffin picked him up, and the two displayed respect for each other.

As Rogan said, the fight did not have any losers. The UFC president, Dana White, decided to provide both of the warriors with a six-figure contract. The current giants are indeed a product of this single match. It was indeed this fight that made UFC what it is today.
