“It’s Humiliating” – Joe Rogan Reveals He Was Humiliated by 23-Year-Old Prodigy

Joe Rogan is nothing less than a library when it comes to combat sports. However, combat sports are not the only category in which the beloved color commentator excels. His skills with a cue stick not only won him praise from the sporting community, but also got him two games against one of the most skillful pool players in the world. In the recent episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, Rogan revealed how he stood a chance against the pool prodigy, Fedor Gorst.
The UFC commentator invited the host of ‘Whiskey Ginger’ podcast, Andrew Santino, to episode #1924 of JRE. Although the fellow comedian touched on some topics about golf and how amazing it was to watch the professionals play, the duo couldn’t steer clear of the pool.

Rogan and Santino began the talks with several topics. However, it was pool that made the commentator puff out his chest in pride. While talking about professional players and their techniques, Rogan recalled that he once played pool with the Russian prodigy. He said, “We had this guy Fedor Gorst came in. Wait, how old is Fedor? 22, 23 years old. If not, the best pool player in the world, top three for sure. We came in here and we played him on that table. It was wild!”

Santino seemed curious as he asked whether Rogan stood a chance against Gorst. The podcaster proudly revealed that he, in fact, won the first couple of games. He said, “I won the first two games. Ran out the first game, and I won the second game. I got lucky. Well, he gave me a shot in the first game, like I think he broke and didn’t have a shot on the object ball and he pushed out and ran out.”

Furthermore, Rogan revealed that although Gorst originally hailed from Russia, he had acquired a green card that enabled him to play pool in the US. Nonetheless, the UFC commentator could indeed see the difference between their skills. He exclaimed, “And then watching him play like holy f**k, man! It’s humiliating!”

Previously on JRE, Rogan revealed one of his dreams that aligned with him hosting a game of pool. He believed that pool was an underappreciated sport, and this would be his way of uplifting it. Furthermore, he revealed that he had been trying to figure out a way to make the game more popular. He believed that he played well enough to understand what was going on.
Gorst, the guest at JRE during that episode, affirmed that the idea was, in fact, a good one. There was a sliver of hope for the sport with Rogan as a commentator.
