The animosity between multimillionaire podcaster Joe Rogan and mainstream media is nothing new for his fans, as both sides have long engaged in overblown displays of strength against each other. However, this hostility resurfaced on the internet earlier this month when ABC’s The View co-host Joy Behar targeted Rogan, calling him a “dragon believer” and accusing him of misleading his audience while discussing the impact of podcasters like him and their role in Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election.

The ABC’s regular further questioned the credibility of Rogan’s podcast, suggesting it relies on unreliable sources. Behar stated, “I think that’s why people like our show because they know that we are checked by ABC News.” At the time, the UFC color commentator responded humorously, jokingly updating his bio to “dragon believer.” However, in his latest JRE episode, Rogan fired back with anger, taking a much more serious tone.

In his latest Thanksgiving edition of the Joe Rogan Experience (episode #2236), fellow comedians Mark Normand, Shane Gillis, and Ari Shaffir joined Joe Rogan. During the conversation, the topic shifted to 82-year-old Joy Behar and her recent remarks. Rogan explained what Behar had misunderstood about his old podcast video, where he discussed “deceptive lizard-like creatures.” Rogan pointed out, “Like, you didn’t listen to what I said. You didn’t listen to what the wildlife biologist said. And that’s only part of what he said. The other part was when he was explaining encounters with giant reptiles.” To prove his point, Rogan played the clip for his guests.

The Podcaster then aimed at Behar, criticizing her insecurity about podcasts replacing TV talk shows. He claimed, “You’re worried about losing your job and you’re worried about podcasts taking over, about who’s the source of news. And we said Donald Trump was Hit**r, but half the country disagreed with us, and he won. And this is great. Joe Rogan believes in dragons. It’s just frantic.”

This is not the first time Joe Rogan has had a face-off with a TV news personality. A few years ago, Rogan became involved in a controversy with the Democrat-leaning CNN after he told his millions of podcast listeners that he used the animal drug ivermectin to treat COVID-19. This sparked widespread controversy, with CNN accusing Rogan of spreading misinformation, which led him to side more openly with Republicans—a shift that now marks a new chapter in his public history.

However, despite Behar’s Democratic affiliation, Rogan appears unfazed by her stance. In the same podcast, he openly addressed her criticism, unbothered, and shared his personal view on Joy Behar without hesitation.

Joe Rogan holds no grudge against Joy Behar

Despite mocking Joe Rogan on the international stage, Joy Behar has yet to push Rogan to the point of personal attacks. In his latest podcast episode (#2236), Rogan targeted Behar’s Democratic views but refrained from making any personal jabs. With humor, he even offered her a hug if their paths ever crossed.

Joe Rogan expressed, “I just want to say for the record, I have no hate for Joy Behar. If I saw her, I’d give her a hug. I’d probably say the same thing about me if I was her. It’s no big deal, I don’t care.” However, Rogan didn’t shy away from criticizing ABC, saying, “It undermines your own personal credibility if you say we’re so good because we’re supported by ABC News and then you say, ‘Joe Rogan believes in dragons’ in the next sentence.”
