Cory Sandhagen will return to the UFC Octagon this weekend to fight a returning T.J. Dillashaw. A win over the former two-time champion will put Sandhagen in pole position for a title shot next. Dillashaw will look to do the same with a win.

Ahead of the much-anticipated clash, there have been rumors of Dillashaw sending spies to Sandhagen’s camp to get a better assessment of his opponent. Of course, the duo used to be training partners back in the day. When asked about those rumors, Sandhagen nonchalantly addressed them.

To be honest with you, it honestly wouldn’t even bother me really. It’s like good on you for doing everything you can to win, even if it is kind of borderline unethical in some people’s terms. But this is the art of war and fighting is real. You want to do every single thing you can so that you don’t get beat up and so that you can beat up the other person. I don’t hate on guys for having that in them,” said Sandhagen.

Having a borderline unethical willingness to win is something that I can understand. It’s not something that I would condone but I understand the level of things we’re doing things at and how dangerous this sport is. It’s something that I can understand. So I don’t really get too angry about those types of things,” he added.

Cory Sandhagen vs T.J. Dillashaw: Who gets it done?

Sandhagen is in sublime form at the moment. He is one of the finest fighters in the entire bantamweight division. But it’s hard for anyone to undermine a fighter of Dillashaw’s caliber.

As both fighters will look to secure their position as the no.1 contender with a win this weekend, fans can expect an intriguing clash in the main event of the fight night card. Which of the two top bantamweights gets it done, remains to be seen.
