It appears that the agonising wait is finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and the moment every UFC fan has been waiting for is occurring at last. In 2023, we may finally witness Conor McGregor stepping back into the octagon after a prolonged hiatus. The Irishman sent out a tweet signalling his return to the UFC soon, and that has caught all the focus of the UFC community. Now, it’s all about the essential details to pan out in terms of his return date, weight class, his next opponent, etc. But according to Paul Felder, it is far from easy for ‘The Notorious’ to make an impact upon his long-awaited comeback. The UFC commentator believes that the current lot in the promotion can be proven too much for the Dubliner to take on. And the UFC fandom holds a similar belief about McGregor’s fighting chops now.

Fans believe Conor McGregor is way past being a good fighter

The former UFC fighter believes that if Conor McGregor makes a comeback this year, he should not aim for the young blood in the promotion, given they are ‘absolute maniacs’. Furthermore, Paul Felder believes the fellow Irishman should instead fight someone like Michael Chandler, who is a tough nut himself, but wouldn’t bring as much of a danger as Arman Tsarukyan or Mateusz Gamrot will.

One fan has been citing what Felder said for a while now:

“Been saying for years that Arman would kill him..”

Commentary should be next for McGregor, as this fan suggests:

“Nobody. Conor should enjoy his family & maybe commentate.”

Another fan believes that UFC won’t make such a mistake with McGregor by putting him against one of those guys:

“I think Felder is right. But I don’t think think the UFC is stupid enough to match up Conor against guys like Arman or Gamrot.”

Paul Felder gets a strong backing for being correct throughout:

“Felder has never been wrong in his life”

The bulk up may be an escape, suggests another user:

“Which is why he is going to 170😂”

For this fan, the trilogy with Nate Diaz is the only fight that makes sense:

“Nate Diaz is the only fight that has any chance of happening”

A fan makes bold claims against Conor McGregor’s credibility as a fighter:

“It’s over for Conor. Was nowhere nearly as fast or accurate in his last fight. He’s prelim worthy at this point for me”

Having said that, Conor McGregor looks ready to put all these accusations to rest as he put out a strong prediction ahead of his return.

McGregor couldn’t care less about who he fights next

Conor McGregor‘s name may soon be heard booming around the arena as his comeback for this year appears to be a lock. Ahead of his reappearance, ‘The Notorious’ also vows to demolish some competition, regardless of who it is.

McGregor wrote, “I’m going to slice through someone on return. Trust that. And I don’t care who. Line up.”

We sure would love to see that happen upon his grand comeback. But it wouldn’t be easy. Yet again, you can never be certain of anything about this sport.
