Cain Velasquez keeps the door open for Brock Lesnar’s UFC comeback

Speculation about Brock Lesnar’s comeback has been simmering in the UFC’s pot for quite some time among fans. Enthusiasts had cooled down their expectations due to Lesnar’s surgeries and his focus on his career in WWE. However, the flames in the pot have been reignited following the merger of WWE and UFC.

But UFC’s newly minted CEO Dana White seemed to be very clear about his stance on Lesnar’s return as he poured cold water on the speculations. In an interview, he stated that Lesnar is done for and he might never come back.

The reason why Brock Lesnar left UFC

Brock Lesnar’s UFC career indeed faced significant challenges and controversies. He grappled with health issues, particularly Diverticulitis, a severe intestinal disorder that necessitated surgery and led to his withdrawal from multiple fights. These health problems undeniably hindered his MMA journey.

In the later months of 2019, Lesnar declared that he would bid adieu to the UFC stage. The reason was the failure to reach an agreement with the UFC for a potential showdown against Daniel Cormier. His career has seen its own highs and lows and his worsening health conditions followed by doping allegations have cast shadows on his accomplishments in the UFC. What the future holds for him, only time will reveal!
