The Brittney Griner case shook the world; especially athletes and fans. UFC’s famous color commentator, Joe Rogan, who often talks about high-profile cases on his JRE podcast, also discussed the WNBA star’s case with fellow comedian Tim Dillon on episode #1860.

The MMA analyst drew a comparison between the Griner and several other similar cases that may exist.
Rogan said, “It doesn’t make sense. They’re still in jail. Like when we’re talking about Brittney Griner, yes, it’s terrible that they put her in jail for that. But it’s crazy we have thousands of people in American jail for the same f***ing thing, thousands and thousands of them.”
His guest, Dillon, questioned, “You think we’d get her out?”

That’s when the commentator revealed his thoughts about negotiations happening. He said, “I think they’re going to make a negotiation. But politically, it’s the smart thing to do, I think, to leave her in jail is a horrible slight. But it also highlights the many Americans that are in jail…”.
Through the Griner case, Rogan wanted some attention on several other similar cases as well. Instead, he expressed that there are other actions that people should get jailed for.
Tim Dillon agreed with Rogan and wished there was a way to get people out of jail for actions similar to Griner’s.

People apart from Joe Rogan react to the Brittney Griner case
Apart from Rogan, other UFC-related personalities have spoken about the WNBA athlete. Veteran fighter, Tim Kennedy, might not agree with Rogan’s perspective. In fact, he took to social media to criticize her. Ben Askren too reacted to the news.

Thus, the player has been receiving mixed reactions from fans as well as well-known personalities. One person relentlessly speaking about the case is tennis legend, Chris Evert. She has been continuously posting about it on social media and doesn’t agree with what’s happening.
