Bruce Buffer, who’s known to be the ‘Voice of the UFC’, turned 66 years old on May 21. The promotion shared a post, wishing the legend a very happy birthday. Moreover, a lot of fighters and fans on social media flocked into the comment section to wish Buffer and even left some heartfelt messages for the UFC icon.

The UFC recently celebrated 30 years of its establishment and success. Moreover, Bruce Buffer’s iconic “It’s Time” catchphrase has become synonymous with Dana White‘s promotion. He has been with the company for almost thirty years and is the go-to ring announcer for major UFC pay-per-view events.

Bruce Buffer turns 66

Buffer joined the UFC in 1996, three years after the promotion was established. Since then, he has become one of the most recognizable personalities in the UFC. Buffer is more famous than some of the fighters on the current roster. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he grew up with his half-brother, Michael Buffer, who is also a prominent ring announcer in the country.

Bruce Buffer is also the grandson of legendary boxer John Lisky, who was popularly known as Johnny Buff. However, he built his own reputation as of of the most famous ring announcers in the world. Buffer even had a signature ‘Buffer Bow’ that he did exclusively for UFC legends Randy Couture and Anderson Silva. His personality has won millions of hearts in the MMA community. His 66th birthday saw a lot of fighters and fans wish him on this auspicious occasion.

UFC figures and fans wish the ‘Voice of the UFC’

It was only natural for the UFC fighters to step in and wish Bruce Buffer a very happy birthday since he announced some of their fights. Johnny Walker commented on UFC’s recent post on Instagram and wished the 66-year-old a happy birthday with the iconic catchphrase. He wrote, “Happy birthday and now iiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttssss timeeeeeeeeeeeeee.”

Islam Makhachev‘s Manager Ali Abdelaziz also took his time to wish the UFC icon on his birthday. Wellington Turman, Khaos Williams, Joaquin Buckley, Herbert Burns, Cris Cyborg, and Cub Swanson were some of the other fighters who also wished Bruce Buffer on his birthday.
