UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski was set to fight Brian Ortega at UFC 260. However, a positive COVID test forced the champion to withdraw from the pay-per-view. The Aussie will coach TUF alongside ‘T-City’. However, the 145lbs champion keeps a close eye on the proceedings of the UFC. He was saddened to see former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov retire from the sport.
Speaking to Helen Yee recently, Volkanovski said, “Yeah. You know, it’s, it’s, it’s unfortunate, obviously, you know, good on him. He’s got a great career. But I mean, you know, you watch, you’ve been watching these fighters for years.”

But at the same time, you know, he thinks he’s done with the sport. Now he’s coach, and he’s doing a good job there. So, good on him,” added ‘The Great’.
