MMA Twitter could be a fun place at times. As social media offers a space for everyone to express their opinion, MMA fans with no training sometimes claim to beat professional martial artists like UFC fighters.

Recently, one example of a fan challenging a fighter came in. A big Israel Adesanya fan and a popular MMA Twitter character called out former Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields.

The former welterweight title challenger Jake Shields is notorious for interacting with Internet trolls. With how much involvement he has on the MMA web, some could count him a troll himself.

The highly decorated martial artist posted about the callout from the current UFC middleweight champion’s fan.

 “I’ve been challenged to a fight by an internet troll I’m gonna leave it up to you the fans how badly I beat him and what I should Finish him with,” wrote Shields.

The superfan of Adesanya went toe-to-toe with Jake Shields. The fan constantly poked the grappling legend. However, Shields offered to deal with him in their alleged clash.

Even the UFC Fight Pass’s official Twitter account chimed in on the back and forth. They had two words for this interaction: “BOSTON CRAB”.

Should they do a real-life battle in a friendly setup, it would be a fun treat for the MMA Twitter world.

Israel Adesanya showed a kind gesture for Jake Shields’ counterpart at UFC 263
