Alex Pereira(8-2) has made quite the name for himself in the UFC since he won the UFC middleweight championship by beating Israel Adesanya(24-3) in just his fourth fight. He also beat former light-heavyweight champion Jan Błachowicz(29-10-1), setting him up for a light heavyweight championship bout against Jiří Procházka(29-3-1) at UFC 295.

‘Poatan’ looks like a formidable force in the light-heavyweight division as his recent sparring footage has left the fans in awe of not only his size but the power he’s generating. However, what shocked the fans more wasn’t his sparring footage alone but the training footage of his girlfriend.

Alex Pereira and his girlfriend often give fans a glimpse into their lives through social media posts. A recent training footage of Pereira’s girlfriend surfaced where she looked like a seasoned fighter hitting the pads.

After watching the training footage, the sheer physique and excellent form of punching pads astounded the fans. The girlfriend of the former middleweight champ has an Amazonian physique which would most likely tower over a lot of women.

The amusing thing was that the most excellent shot in Merle’s arsenal seemed to be her left hook which is also known to be Pereira’s most effective and feared strike in his arsenal.

Fans quickly jumped into the comments section after witnessing the footage to express their thoughts on the breathtaking woman. Literally breathtaking as her left hook looked like it could actually stop someone from breathing. Some of the comments are as follows:

Most of the comments were about her Amazonian physique and comparing her to a female version of Pereira. However, fans did not forget to bring  ‘Stylebender’ into the mix.

We all know that Adesanya and Pereira’s names are now woven together as both fighters have a pretty intense and amusing history. Adesanya is no stranger to getting picked on by the MMA community, especially when it comes to Pereira, and the post about the training footage was no different.
