Dana White once again bashed Triller for their boxing cards during the press conference after the Dana White’s Contender Series event. White talked about the most decorated middleweight champion of his promotion, Anderson Silva, and how fantastic he has looked in boxing. He also mentioned that Jake Paul would never fight Silva in a boxing match.

White believes Paul handpicks his opponents. He looks for fighters that aren’t good at boxing, old, not his size, and washed up. And Silva, despite being 46, has looked phenomenal inside the squared ring. Prior to his recent knockout win against Tito Ortiz, Silva put a clinic on former world champion boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

I f**king guarantee you this, you ain’t gonna see Jake Paul calling Anderson Silva out. That I f**king promise you. He’s his size, and he’s actually good. He’s old, which is what Jake Paul likes to fight old guys. He likes to fight old guys. that are too small and that are absolutely positively washed up,” said White.

In his last fight, Paul defeated former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, via split decision. Many fans pinned their hopes on ‘The Chosen One’ to bring the Jake Paul hype train to an end. However, Woodley’s gun shy fighting style cost him yet again. Despite hurting Paul, T-Wood couldn’t get the YouTuber out of there.

Does Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva make sense?

Paul vs Silva is a fight fans will love to see. ‘The Problem Child’ has beaten two MMA fighters in his last 2 fights. However, none of them are great boxers. While Woodley is a vicious striker, he hasn’t been his usual self in years. So, it’s understandable why fans were so frustrated with the former UFC champion yet again.

However, Silva is a different beast. He is a master technician and packs the power to put opponents to sleep. If ‘The Problem Child‘ really wants to test himself, that fight certainly makes sense. However, it’s unlikely Paul will risk that at this point in his career. Fans will love to see the contest for sure.
