Jan Blachowicz Believes UFC’s LHW Division Is a ‘Mess,’ but Plans to ‘Do Everything in My Power to Rectify’ It

The light heavyweight division has just seen some major changes in the fighter’s rankings. After UFC 283, the division crowned a new champion in Jamahal Hill. The previous champion Jiri Prochazka is out of contention with an injury layoff. Moreover, former champion Glover Teixeira retired from the sport and the division is in a state of “mess”.

These are the words that Jan Blachowicz used to describe the state of the light heavyweight division in the UFC. Moreover, the Polish fighter issued a warning to the fighters in the division as he looks to make a charge at the light heavyweight crown.

Jan Blachowicz issues a warning to the division
The former light heavyweight champion is looking to get his UFC title back. Following his draw against Magomed Ankalaev, the 39-year-old is far from the contention of getting the next light heavyweight title shot. However, Blachowicz has come out with a tweet to issue a warning to the entire division.
The Legendary Polish Power foiled a lot of plans in the LHW division. The mess is even bigger after I didn't perform well against Glover. But I'll do everything in my power to rectify this. #LegendaryPolishPower

Moreover, he is also disappointed after losing his fight to Glover Teixeira. His fight against Aleksandar Rakic was also not convincing. However, the Polish fighter cannot be blamed, as Rakic suffered a horrific leg injury in the third round of the fight.

In his tweet, Blachowicz might also have referred to preventing Magomed Ankalaev from winning the light heavyweight championship by stating that he has ‘foiled’ plans. However, it remains to be seen where ‘The Legendary Polish Power’ will be utilized in the next fight.
Blachowicz needs a couple of victories against top-ranked opponents
Jan Blachowicz needs some wins, and he needs them soon. The Polish fighter turns 40 in February and the clock is winding down for the path to the title.

The former champion will be looking to make a splash this year and is ready to challenge for the title one more time before he calls it a day. With the next title shot almost certain for Jiri Prochazka depending on his timeline for return, Blachowicz needs to fight another top-five-ranked light heavyweight to make a statement.
