When you talk about experience, then you ought to speak about Jim Miller. “A-10” has been with the UFC since 2008 and it would not be wrong to state that he is one of the most experienced as well as stabilized fighters in the MMA world. The 40-year-old has fought in some of UFC’s biggest events and will once more go into the fray this weekend at UFC Vegas 84.

Miller’s career has been filled with ups and downs. The UFC star has an impressive resume, but ‘A-10’ has had some big losses under his belt as well. Today, we will ponder upon opponents who thrashed Miller during his nearly 16-year-long career in the UFC.

Jim Miller’s career losses in the UFC

Jim Miller has carved out a prominent presence in the realm of mixed martial arts (MMA), particularly within the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Hailing from Sparta Township, New Jersey, Miller kicked off his professional MMA journey in 2005, swiftly gaining recognition for his remarkable grappling and submission prowess. Miller’s career can be looked upon like a ship in the rough waters. Being with the UFC for the last 16 has not been easy and being consistent just added to the challenge.

The fight has a professional record of 36-17-0 (1 NC). Miller has sustained losses from some big names in the UFC. The first loss came against Gray Maynard in 2009. His second loss came against Benson Henderson through a unanimous decision, while the third was against the iconic Nate Diaz.

Miller also has losses against notable opponents such as Donald Cerrone, Beneil Dariush, Michael Chiesa, Diego Sanchez, Dustin Poirier, Francisco Trinaldo, Dan Hooker, and Charles Oliveira. Over the last three years, Miller lost to Scott Holtzman, Vinc Pichel, Joe Solecki, and Alexander Hernandez. Miller’s career has been a bit on and off, but this has not stopped him from challenging his opponents.

Interestingly, Miller has fought at both UFC 100 and UFC 200, leading to fans calling for him to fight on April’s UFC 300 card as well. Recently, UFC 200 headliner Brock Lesnar vs. Jim Miller came up in discussion (in jest of course) and Miller had a bold take about the ‘Beast Incarnate.’

Did Miller take a dig at Brock Lesnar?

During a conversation between Anthony Smith and Michael Bisping, Smith brought forward the idea that a fight between Brock Lesnar and Jim Miller would be 50-50. Bisping was in a streak of laughter upon hearing this. Miller was made aware of this conversation and when asked about his opinion, he asserted that it was true.

“In the cage, I think it’s 50-50. As a fighter, I train like the guy I’m training for is the best in the world in every aspect. But when I make that walk, I have to think I am the baddest mother—– on the planet. That’s what I would try to do,” said Miller.

Props to Miller for his heart and he will need all of it this weekend. With any luck, if Miller comes off with a win and without taking a lot of damage, fans could see him at UFC 300. Do you think it will happen? Tell us about your opinion in the comments below.
