Perhaps the most active champion in Dana White‘s promotion, Alex Pereira, finally dropped the belt at UFC 313 after a decision loss to Magomed Ankalaev. His former rivals were tuned into the fight, with Jiri Prochazka reacting to the PPV’s main event on social media. But that’s not all, because ‘Poatan’ also revealed what he plans to do after losing to Ankalaev as the Czech star issued an offer to the former champ.

Alex Pereira has stepped up for Dana White when the head honcho was in trouble, and has consistently made weight, performed and put up a show for the fans. But in the wake of his title defeat, ‘Poatan’ has no plans to slow down or take any break. He has decided to take some time off from fighting and rest until he gets back in the gym, but it doesn’t look like he’s done with Anklalaev. “I’m gonna take a few days off and go back to training,” said Pereira in the Octagon after his fight at UFC 313.

Meanwhile, Alex Pereira already seems to have an option for whom he fights when he returns. In fact, one of his ex-rivals seems to be in the hunt for a trilogy fight against the former light heavyweight champion. On his path to dominance in the light heavyweight division, Pereira knocked out a couple of UFC champions in the process. The first one was Jamahal Hill, and the second one was Jiri Prochazka.

‘The Czech Samurai’ claimed after his UFC 303 loss to Pereira that he had to go back to the drawing board and make some adjustments. Now, it seems like he’s ready for another scrap as he issued a challenge to the Brazilian native while congratulating Magomed Ankalaev for his milestone victory at UFC 313.

“Congrats to [Magomed Ankalaev], beautiful pressure. Most of people dont like it, but you won the title for now,” wrote Jiri Prochazka on X. “[Alex Pereira], last dance?” Well, Pereira isn’t one to bow down from a challenge, but do you think he will take up this offer to close the chapter with Prochazka? That remains to be seen, as it depends on what Dana White has to say.

While Alex Pereira seems to have an option open for his next fight, it certainly wasn’t a good night at UFC313, and guess what? One of his former rivals made an accurate prediction. Here’s what Pereira’s rival had to say.

Former rival reacts to Alex Pereira’s loss

Jamahal Hill, who has talked about Alex Pereira more than other light heavyweights, made a prediction that turned out to be true when he picked Magomed Ankalaev instead of Alex Pereira as the winner of UFC 313’s main event. But was that out of spite? Well, the former champion claims to have no beef with the Brazilian native and it’s just the fans who have misinterpreted his prediction.

“But I’m a hater tho,” Jamahal Hill wrote on X. “Lmfao y’all are pathetic I didn’t care who won I called the fight how I saw and talk got mad and clearly don’t know sh*t about fighting!!! Cheeto dust warriors just talking d*** riding a man that don’t even know y’all! Me and Alex are cool and respect each other anytime we meet!”

Regardless of the defeat, Alex Pereira was great as the light heavyweight king. Now, it will be interesting to see what he does when he makes his comeback. ‘Poatan’ has already mentioned his wish to win three titles in the UFC, so could this loss make him move to the heavyweight division and get that Jon Jones fight?
