Jiri Prochazka Ready to Fight Jan Blachowicz Next for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title

Jiri ‘Denisa’ Prochazka won his latest fight against Dominick Reyes in a dominant fashion. Prochazka knocked out Reyes in the second round with a tremendous spinning elbow. This victory showed the whole lightweight division just how good Prochazka really is.

After the fight was over, fans and critics from all over the world congratulated the fighter. Even the UFC light heavyweight champion, Jan Blachowicz, commented on Prochazka’s victory.

Blachowicz wrote, “Hey @jiri_bjp, Me vs you in Cieszyn, Prince vs Samurai, Sword vs Katana, #LegendaryPolishPower”

As Blachowicz is all set to face Glover Teixeira this September, many fans thought that the Pole might ditch Teixeira for a fight against Prochazka. However, Blachowicz immediately cleared up any misunderstanding that may have emerged from his tweet and explained the reason he sent it out.

“For all those who do not know the Slavic context of the previous post and its humorous nature. Of course, Glover is the next contender. I always keep my word.”

Following his victory against Reyes, Prochazka is clearly in line for a title opportunity. However, the 28-year-old was clear that Teixeira and Blachowicz need to fight first at UFC 266.

‘Denisa’ said, “But we must know who will be the winner from the fight Blachowicz vs Teixeira. Because Teixeira showed that he can surprise, and he’s not too old to surprise to take a win. But I think Blachowicz is a better opponent and whew he is a tough opponent and it will be an honor to fight with him or with Teixeira whoever.”
