205-pound UFC champion Jiri Prochazka has had a meteoric rise in the promotion. While the fighter won a war against Glover Teixeira to claim the title at UFC 275, he did not rate the Brazilian as his toughest opponent. Instead, ‘Denisa’ rated a former UFC light heavyweight champion to be his toughest challenge in the 205-pound division.

In an interview with The Schmo, Prochazka said, “I have to make a decision about next fight and I’m thinking about, to give offer to, for Glover for a rematch, or to challenge to Jan.”
“Because Jan is for me bigger challenge. But, I think Glover, he made a great performance in that fight and I have to say to him, huge respect for that. So, we will see.”

From his statement, it is evident Prochazka rates Blachowicz and Texeira highly and looks forward to fighting them. The Pole and the Brazilian have also shown interest in the same.

Even though Prochazka has just become champion, the fighter has already been put under the spotlight with these call-outs. While there might still be time for his return, Prochazka will have to train even harder to defend his spot at the top of the mountain.
