Former UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk has been out of action since her split decision loss to Weili Zhang at UFC 248.

Jedrzejczyk found herself on the wrong end of the decision after a 5-round war against her Chinese counterpart. The fight has been touted by many as the best in women’s MMA history.

Despite her recent setbacks in the octagon, Joanna has been breaking new ground in the outside world. She recently signed a lucrative sponsorship deal with famous sportswear brand PUMA.

On her Instagram, she wrote, “I’m super pumped to announce that I have joined @PUMA family  Check out this new ad we made together with my friends: Mateusz Borek, Karolina Gilon, Odeta Moro, Kuba Przygoński, Urszula Radwańska i Maciej Janowski  How do you like this video?”

Jedrzreczyk is considered one of the foremost legends in the history of women’s MMA. After being undefeated for the first 14 fights of her professional career, the Polish superstar suffered 4 losses in her next 6 outings.

There’s no doubt she would like to get another shot at the title. However, the current landscape of the division compels her to wait her turn or fight a contender.

Rose Namajunas or Jessica Andrade will potentially challenge Zhang for the title next. While Jedrzejczyk has previously defeated Andrade, she has lost twice to Namajunas.
