Joaquin Buckley recently got through a grueling battle at UFC Fight Night 201. The now 14-4 fighter fought on the opening bout of the event. He took on Abdul Razak Alhassan in what many predicted was going to be an all-out war. However, instead of getting a knockout finish, what fans got was a three-round battle.

Before the fight, Buckley made a surprise announcement. In a video posted on his Instagram, ‘New Mansa’ declared that D.U.S.T self-defense star, Commander Dale Brown, would be in his corner. This left everyone in the MMA community bemused. However, after the win over Alhassan, he revealed the reason for having him in his corner.

He said, “Yes sir, I know exactly what to expect. When I realized the UFC wasn’t promoting like it should. They probably promoted it well at the end, but I made sure all the eyes, you see, I got my man right here. Come here, Dale, come here. In here to promote this fight.”
