Joe Rogan is a manly man. The UFC commentator grew up in a different time and holds contrasting views from the current generation on issues of masculinity. However, the Texas resident has a soft spot for fighters and couldn’t help but break into tears when reminiscing about Leon Edwards‘ iconic post-fight speech.

Rogan was joined by former two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier on episode 150 of the JRE MMA Show, where the two re-watched Edwards’ post-fight speech after defeating welterweight champion Kamaru Usman last year. And ahead of the welterweight champion’s second title defense at UFC 296 on December 16 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas

One take at a time

Hi, I am Kanishk and I am a UFC Writer at EssentiallySports. I love telling the stories of these magnificent fighters and this wildly unpredictable sport that is so frustrating and yet so joyous at the same time. I never really used to watch MMA, thinking it too crude or brutal a sport to deserve respect.
