Joe Rogan feels Sean O’Malley might feature in a boxing match in the future

Sean O’Malley is the current bantamweight champion in the UFC and is coming off an impressive victory at UFC 292. He faced Aljamain Sterling for the title and won the fight via knockout in the second round. However, not only is the 29-year-old focusing on MMA, but he also feels he can beat Gervonta Davis in a boxing match. 

Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier, in the recent JRE podcast  discussed a recent boxing fight between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury. Cormier said: ” What does that say about boxing, Joe? The lineal heavyweight champion of the world and the lineal UFC heavyweight champion of the world. But the lineal heavyweight champion in boxing in just a boxing match, Francis was able to compete with him as an amateur 0-0. He is an amateur. What does that say about boxing? ”

To which Rogan replied: “I think it says more about Francis. I think Francis is just a special dude. Cormier then reminded him and said:  “We did see Conor fight Floyd. I mean, could Sean O’Malley fight Devin Haney?” Rogan replied: “Yes, something like that can happen.”

Although O’Malley faced much criticism for his latest Tweet, he must now shift his focus to UFC 299. Will ‘Suga’ be able to defend his title at UFC 299 and walk out as champion?

UFC 299 will witness two of the best bantamweight fighters take on each other for the title. O’Malley, the current bantamweight champion, boasts a record of 17-1-0 in the UFC and is running high on confidence after his last outing in the Octagon. However, his next opponent Marlon Vera will be eager to walk out of the Octagon as the new bantamweight champion.
