The U͏F͏C ͏͏has w͏͏itnesse͏d some of th͏e ͏͏most magn͏ificent f͏͏ight͏ers to͏ ever͏ step͏͏ ͏fo͏o͏t inside ͏the Octagon. It seems like they have found ͏the fighter͏, as highlighted by Joe Rogan. The debate of the most complete fighters has been going on in the promotion for decades. Every other individual has a separate answer to that question. However, the stakeholders of the promotion have yet to find anyone to take on the seat that has been left behind by Conor McGregor. Regardless, Joe Rogan and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson recently had a candid conversation about the future of MMA, and while talking about the next big star, the multi-million dollar podcaster might have revealed his name.

When Rampage asked Joe Ro͏gan about the most complete fighter in the UFC ͏of this generation, ͏Rogan emp͏h͏asized that there is no one l͏ike͏ Sean O’Malley.“It’s hard to say. Might be Sean O’Malley. Sean O’Malley is not the best wrestler, but damn, his takedown defense is good because he survived against Aljamain Sterling,” said Rogan on the episode #159 of the ‘JRE MMA Show’.

He further stated, “You know what I mean? Aljamain couldn’t take him down. He can knock anybody out with one shot. Yeah, he submitted Takori Gomi in a Jiu-Jitsu match. His Jiu-Jitsu is real. Sean [O’Malley] can do everything, and he’s just a relentless, tireless worker.”

Sean O’Malley’s emergence as the face of the promotion started way back when he faced Aljamain Sterling to clinch the bantamweight belt in UFC 292. With an exceptional record of 18 victories and 1 loss (and that too because he was injured), O’Malley has been one of the best talents that have come out of promotion in recent times, however, quoting him as the most well-rounded fighter is rather a bog from Rogan. Why, you ask? Well, Rogan has overlooked Demetrius Johnson and Leon Edwards.

Rogan’s comments on Demetrius Johnson and Leon Edwards

Demetrius Johnson and Leon Edwards are quite the biggest stars of the promotion. There was a time when Rogan ended the goat debate of the promotion when he named ‘DJ’ as the biggest well-rounded fighter of the promotion and that’s not the end of it. There was a time when Joe Rogan even claimed that Leon Edwards was the best striker of his division.

While having a conversation on episode #2128 of the JRE, Rogan highlighted that ‘DJ’ is the best fighter to have ever stepped foot inside the Octagon, “He’s (Demetrious Johnson’s) probably the best ever. In terms of like just pure martial arts techniques. I think the best expression of martial arts I’ve ever seen is Mighty Mouse.”

That’s not all. In a conversation with Bryan Callen, Rogan emphasized, “He (Edwards) is the most technical, the most dangerous. I love watching Leon. Just the way he moves. Just the technique, the precision. Everything is just so. It’s just like what you want to see in an elite striker.”

However, now Rogan considers O’Malley as ͏the most well-rounded fighter in the promotion. Share your thoughts about the same in the comments below.
