The duo was discussing various social media applications that one can make money through and came across the video-sharing platform. “TikTok is such a f***ing sketchy application,” said Rogan. He also pointed out what the software engineers had to say about the app.

“You ever seen the breakdown these software engineers have done on TikTok? Of how intrusive it is?… They said it is the single most disturbing piece of software they’ve ever had to back engineer because the amount of cross-platform spying it does,” Rogan told MrBeast.

MrBeast too was skeptical of the video-sharing platform and shared occurrences of privacy breaches. “I have had instances where I would say certain things in conversations and then later that night I would get in my feed something similar. Like if I talk about dogs a lot and then weirdly start getting TikToks about dogs. I have noticed that kind of stuff,” the 23-year-old YouTuber shared.

He also said that he felt the app is following his location. In his own words, MrBeast said, “If you travel to a different state, like even now in Texas, like my TikTok feed will be a lot more Texas content, it’s definitely location-based.”
