Joe Rogan is not an evolutionary biologist. However, he recently had a reaction that would ruffle a lot of feathers as he commented about the evolution of the chihuahua (a dog breed). The former Fear Factor host has a lot of experience with a variety of species from his time on the reality television show. Besides, talking to experts from around the world has given a boost to the JRE podcast host’s knowledge.

The number one podcast host sat down with fellow stand-up comedian, Yannis Pappas, who is also a writer and an actor. They touched upon several things in their conversation. However, there was one of them that the JRE host found peculiar and shared on his Instagram.

Rogan wrote, “Not all evolution leads to superior creatures,” before he suggested the clip was from JRE #1799.

The clip that Rogan shared started with his guest making quite a remark. He said, “I can’t believe sometimes when I look at the chihuahua, whatever it is. I imagine that thing shares like what it is 98 or 99 % of the same DNA as a wolf. That a wolf and that thing could f*** and make a dog. It’s wild.”

Yannis Pappas’ comment received an even stranger reply from Rogan, who said, “Well, if you look at a male feminist and realize their ancestors were probably Vikings.”

The host of the “Long Days with Yanni” podcast cracked into laughter upon hearing Rogan’s analogy and offered that the UFC commentator was spot on with it. Rogan further added, “That’s what’s happening to men in this country. They are being converted into pugs.”

Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier will share the commentary desk for the first time since January

The former dual champion missed UFC PPV duties for the past couple of events (UFC 272, UFC 273). Before that, Joe Rogan elected to sit out of UFC 271. Hence, the only event the two shared this year was UFC 270, the first PPV event of the year.
