Joe Rogan Concerned Over Cultural Shift Demanding Acceptance of ‘Crazy Ideas’

People nowadays are more aware and well-informed about various political and cultural issues than ever. It has been named the ‘woke culture’. It mostly caters to marginalized communities. Joe Rogan touched on this topic many times in his podcast: the ‘Joe Rogan Experience.’ If this culture keeps up, it can prove to be detrimental to people who advocate free speech.

Joe Rogan previously discussed the state of the comedy scene. He discussed that there is no scope for a good comedy movie due to the oppression of the ‘woke culture.’ Rogan also commented that straight white men are being silenced by the ‘woke culture.’ But he believes that nobody can be ‘woke’ enough.

“It keeps going further and further and further down the line, and if you get to the point where you capitulate, where you agree to all these demands, it’ll eventually get to straight white men are not allowed to talk. Because it’s your privilege to express yourself when other people of color have been silenced throughout history,” said Rogan.

Joe Rogan discussed ‘woke culture’ prevailing among students in universities on a recent episode of his podcast. He was once asked why he is concerned about ‘woke culture’ among students in universities since it does not affect him. But 55-year-old commentator-podcaster believes that it does. Rogan believes that these students will eventually be going to the workplace. It can prove detrimental to society. Rogan also mentions that the ideology of ‘woke culture’ is radically different from when he was in his 20s.

“There is a shift in the culture that seemed to be a group-think shift; that was forcing people to accept these crazy ideas,” said Rogan. He added, “This is gonna have some spill-over.” He also mentioned clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson’s efforts to warn people about this issue. Rogan also mentions that Peterson’s clinical psychology license is about to get canceled. This is due to Jordan retweeting a post that criticized the Canadian government.

Joe Rogan has spoken about a lot of controversial issues on his podcast. He has almost 11 million listeners who tune into his show. After acquiring his podcast for $100 million; Spotify allows Rogan to speak his mind. But the platform has removed several old episodes of JRE for discussions on very sensitive topics.
