MMA fans remember UFC 196 as the event where Conor McGregor fought Nate Diaz for the first time. However, there was one more interesting thing that happened. Tom Lawlor, who fought in the same event, came to the ceremonial weigh-ins impersonating Conor McGregor.

At the ceremonial weigh-ins of UFC 196, Tom Lawlor came onto the stage and took off his shirt, which made Rogan laugh looking at him. Lawlor then proceeded and stepped on the scale, shouting similar to how McGregor does it. He then moved and faced off with his opponent in a stance Conor McGregor uses.

While all this happened, fans could see Conor McGregor reacting to the same. While laughing, McGregor can be heard saying, “That’s good. He has, like, my tattoos on him, like stuck on him, like stickers or something. Tom Lawlor.”

In an image shared by McGregor, he can be seen landing a front kick on Marcus Brimage. Sharing the photo, McGregor claimed he was the first to start football punt kicks to the face of standing opponents. McGregor also mentioned that he called this ‘over the bar’ kick.

When fans on the Internet shared the image of Anderson Silva’s front kick, McGregor shared another tweet describing the difference. In the tweet, McGregor said that Silva used the textbook Karate technique whereas his kick was like a big punt for a football. He also said, “F**k tkd I tote a 44, richer than quarterbacks.”
