Dricus Du Plessis has ended Sean Strickland’s championship reign! The clash between the pair at UFC 297 was Strickland’s first title defense after securing the belt by upsetting Israel Adesanya at UFC 293. Both men were determined to come out on top and the build-up to the clash saw them even get involved in a physical altercation at UFC 296 in December.

In 1998, Rogan, with a noticeably different appearance, defended MMA on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. O’Brien misinformed about UFC rules, claimed you could do anything in the UFC, prompting Rogan to intervene and clarify the sport’s structure.

Rogan emphasized that UFC, or ultimate fighting, takes place in a controlled environment, a cage, combining elements like boxing and wrestling. He stated, “What ultimate fighting is, it’s in a cage, it’s in an Octagon and it’s a combination of boxing, wrestling… They’re great athletes, Olympic gold medalists, world jiu-jitsu champions and boxers. It’s all just like a combination.”
