Joe Rogan Disregards Dana White’s $8M UFC 297 Success in an Honest Confession – “It Is Nothing Compared to…”

UFC 297 comes to an end. The card featured several notable fighters like Sean Strickland, Dricus du Plessis, and Raquel Pennington. The entire MMA community gathered to watch this landmark event take place. Not to mention, it is reported by Dana White that the gate did nearly $8 Million which is record-breaking and a testament to success.

However, despite this amazing feat, Joe Rogan was not as impressed with the card when he drew a comparison. What does he compare it to?

Rogan is a fan of the sport through and through. He is interested in seeing the biggest and most stacked cards possible. Subsequently, he was comparing this card with the upcoming card in Miami, UFC 299. Amongst others, Petr Yan, Kevin Holland, and Ian Garry will be competing. According to the podcast host, while UFC 297 is a stacked card, it cannot be compared with UFC 299. He stated, on his podcast, “I think this card is great but it is nothing compared to the Miami card. There are a couple of big ones lining up for 300. If they come together it is going to be amazing.”

It would be hard to disagree with Rogan’s opinion. After all, UFC 299 is indeed stacked. UFC 297  was quite an entertaining card by in large and one can reasonably expect UFC 299 to be even more exciting given the match-ups. However, while hyping up UFC 299, he also teases something massive in store for UFC 300.

Apart from being a podcast host, Rogan is also a commentator for the UFC. Subsequently, he has a lot of insider information that others do not know. Rumours were flying that McGregor might make his return to the sport at UFC 300. However, Rogan clarified that it does not appear to be a course of action now despite the efforts of UFC. He stated, “The big one was they were trying to get Conor, but he is not gonna be ready by then.”

It is safe to say that the McGregor comeback does not appear to be in the cards anytime soon.
