Joe Rogan’s honest take on materialism helping Apple ride the revenue

What’s the one thing that represents America like nothing else? Its Apple. Steve Jobs along with Steve Wozniak cofounded Apple Computer Compan in April 1, 1976. It was a new technology altogether that was made to serve the daily lives of common people. Jobs’ dream was to witness Apple in the hands of every person around the world. Approximately four decades after the inception of Apple, Jobs’s dream has been fulfilled now but there’s a question: Why do Apple products have such a mental effect on its consumers?

Well, the question has been answered by Joe Rogan and Sara Walker in their latest conversation at JRE. While having a conversation about greater life and greater civilization, the duo diverged to have a conversation about the effect of material things on humanity. In between the conversations, Rogan stated that he was reading an article about the iPhone 16, even though he had no interest in buying a new phone,” I mean, I’m all good. I was reading articles all day today on the iPhone 16. Why do I care about the iPhone 16?”. That’s when the podcaster explained the reality of why Apple revolves around the mind of the general populace,

He stated, “My iPhone 15 is perfect; it works great. What’s wrong with me? I don’t know, but I think that’s also built into materialism. I think materialism sort of facilitates the creation of newer and better things consistently and constantly because everybody’s like, ‘What, you have an iPhone 14? What are you poor?’ People get crazy.”

Walker agreed with Rogan’s assessment as she summarised his statement, “So part of your argument is that our materialistic culture is about building newer and better things. Eventually, this is sort of just more fundamental to the process of life.” Well, Rogan might have contradicted his own words in this conversation, how? Let us find out.

They do a great job, make a great phone; it’s great, it’s great, it’s great. I love the way you can send videos and Airdrop people and FaceTime people; I love it. But I also don’t like.” Dillon dropped in to emphasize that Apple has been constantly changing its rules and regulations which is forcing its core users to switch.
