Apart from UFC, Rogan has a deep curiosity about many other subjects. He is vocal about his opinions on several other social and politics, current affairs, other sports, and matters related to the public interest.

He recently showed support towards billionaire entrepreneur and his former podcast guest Elon Musk’s Twitter bid. One reason behind that was making the micro-blogging platform space for free-speech. Rogan is an outspoken critic of unnecessary censorship on the platform, something Musk wanted to root out.

Another issue was regarding the existence of fake accounts and bots that try to influence public opinion over certain socio-political issues. Similarly, Rogan shared a screenshot of a news piece on his Instagram account.

The screenshot says, “Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard: Nearly 11% of Twitter accounts participating in discourse are fake.” And it said below that, “The majority of inauthentic accounts were supportive of Heard.”

Rogan captioned the post, “I’m surprised it’s only 11%.”

By doing so, Rogan reiterated the claim of bots/fake accounts ruling the discourse on Twitter.

Joe Rogan jumps in Elon Musk’s support

Joe Rogan recently invited Boxing legend, Mike Tyson, on an episode of his podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. Subsequently, the two had an in-depth discussion over various topics in the three-hour-long podcast.

However, the conversation seemed incomplete. In order to satisfy the fans, Rogan appeared on the Hotboxing podcast with Mike Tyson days later.

While appearing at Tyson’s podcast, Rogan dwelled upon Tesla’s head Elon Musk’s recent Twitter bid. Notably, the UFC icon is a friend and admirer of Musk for his unbelievable innovations and clear approach.

Rogan said, “I hope he buys Twitter because he’s committed to the idea of free speech. We can’t have people dictating what people can talk. They did some things where they wouldn’t allow people to get links to certain news stories they thought would be unfavorable towards particular candidates. Like that sh*t’s dangerous. Like you’re controlling elections.”
