Joe Rogan Gets Schooled for Uninformed Claims as Professional Puts Him Down for Chris Weidman Injury Calls

Injuries are part of the fight game. There are hardly a few instances where fighters reach the octagon with a 100% fit body. Further, sometimes fighters have to push through injuries suffered during the fight. However, certain injuries can be so severe that they prompt referees to stop the fight, as the fighter is unable to continue.
A former UFC middleweight fighter suffered such an injury. During his fight at UFC 261, Chris Weidman, who returned to the octagon at UFC 292, suffered a quick loss to Uriah Hall due to injury. Weidman threw a leg kick that Hall blocked, leaving Weidman with a broken leg.
The fighter, who has healed now, has a titanium rod inside his leg. Recently, during his return fight, UFC commentator Joe Rogan made an uninformed statement regarding Weidman’s healed leg. This prompted a professional fight doctor to educate Rogan regarding the injury.

Chris Weidman, who was returning to the octagon after two years, has lost his return fight. Brad Tavares secured a unanimous decision win over Weidman in their featured prelim fight at UFC 292.
Tavares executed a series of leg kicks to Weidman, who had no answer till the very last second of the fight. Tavares secured the victory 30-27 on all three scorecards, putting himself back on the win-column track after two losses in a row.
