The UFC has found major success in the past few years. From a sport that was once considered no less than human cockfighting, it has now become a billion-dollar business. While the Fertitta brothers bought the company when money was needed the most, it was through the sheer grit of Dana White that the UFC stands where it is right now. However, it also took a major toll on his health.

The UFC head honcho revealed that due to his lifestyle and stress, he faced difficulty breathing during sleep and even felt issues in his legs. So, when Dana White got himself checked, it was found out that he would have no more than 10 years more to live if he continued living like that. So, is the case still the same? Well, a major update has been provided by Joe Rogan during his conversation with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on the Joe Rogan Experience #2255.

The UFC commentator was talking about the success of the biggest MMA promotion in the world when he felt the need to mention how passionate Dana White is about the sport. Joe Rogan stated that without Dana White, the UFC would have failed. A major credit for this success goes to his passion for the sport. He said, “The guy’s tireless. I could call him up at 2 o’clock in the morning, like when there’s some fight coming up, and say, “Hey, this is happening next weekend. I’m so pumped.” We’d talk for hours—just hours. He loves talking about fights. He’s so locked in all the time, so driven.”

The JRE host then dropped a major update on the UFC head honcho, stating that Dana White is super healthy now. Thanks to the 55-year-old following a strict diet and keeping himself away from gluttony and alcohol thanks to his health guru, Gary Brecka, a controversial figure in the health space as some critics question the legitimacy and scientific backing of his methods, leading to allegations of scams. Rogan further opined, “Now that he’s healthy, it’s on another level. What Gary Brecka has done for him is incredible. He lost all this weight, got super fit, super healthy. He doesn’t mess around with alcohol anymore, he just eats clean, healthy food. He looks amazing now and has even more energy. It’s incredible.”

Well, fans would be glad to hear that the UFC boss is taking good care of himself now. With this new energy in him, it wouldn’t be surprising to see if the UFC keeps on shattering more gate records in the coming years. But who is Gary Brecka, and how did he help change Dana White completely? Well, let’s find out about him and Dana White’s transformation journey.

How Dana White went through a major health transformation

Just a year or two ago, Dana White used social media to show off the transformation he had undergone in the last six years. The entrepreneur published “before and after” records showing off his fitness in March 2017 and then in September 2023, showing a major body change. With a “fighter’s” physique, White also celebrated the improvement in his quality of life because of the process.

The process began in 2022 when White consulted with a health professional. Gary Brecka, who presents himself as a “bio-hacker” and researcher, estimated that the UFC boss would only have 10 more years to live if he maintained his unhealthy habits. The appointment turned into a warning sign for Dana White, who radically changed his eating and exercise routine. He went through a complete ‘food re-education‘ process. Fast forward a few years and Dana White claims that Brecka completely changed his life.

According to the head honcho, the human biologist changed the way he felt overall about health. “I had been consulting with other doctors for 10 years, and none of them could fix things that way. I discovered things I didn’t even know I had,” said Dana in a video that also showed the results of blood tests after treatment. What do you think of Dana White’s life transformation? Does it motivate you too to make some changes?
