One of the hottest prospects in the welterweight division is the undefeated fighter, Khamzat Chimaev. Fans were in high hopes to see him face Usman for the belt; however, the Brit came and conquered the division.

Rogan started off by mentioning the upcoming fight between Chimaev and Nate Diaz. He said, “…well we have to see what happens between Khamzat and Nate Diaz. You can’t sleep on Nate Diaz.”

Usman agreed with Rogan and said, “No, absolutely not. You can’t. But it’s a bizarre fight that doesn’t really make sense.”

The UFC commentator got excited by the idea of Jorge Masvidal vs Khamzat Chimaev. He then said, “Seeing him vs Masvidal, now that fight I can get behind more than maybe the Nate fight. Masvidal vs Khamzat, oooh! I like that fight a lot. That’s interesting.”

Usman contradicted Rogan and said, “I think what’s more interesting is, is him vs Covington. That’s the ultimate test because Covington does everything.”

Rogan seemed to have agreed with the Nigerian; moreover, he even called Covington a gatekeeper.

The welterweight division has come to life after Kamaru Usman’s loss

Edwards has been called out by everyone in the division; however, it’s safe to say Usman will be the one who’ll be getting the immediate rematch.

Khamzat, on the other hand, will have to emerge victorious against Nate Diaz first and then maybe a fight against Covington to get him to a title shot.

Masvidal and Gilbert Burns are speculated to fight one another, although nothing had been officially announced on both their ends.
