Joe Rogan and Kamaru Usman’s conversation at The Joe Rogan Experience podcast dived into a remark from Conor McGregor about the former welterweight champion bringing his daughter to the fights.
At UFC 278, Leon Edwards knocked out Kamaru Usman with a textbook combo, despite causing no substantial damage in the previous 24 minutes. While the MMA world had all kinds of reactions to the chaotic finish, ‘The Notorious’ took to social media to address clips of the Nigerian fighter’s 8-year-old daughter crying after the contest.

The Irish star also mocked the former dominant champion for getting knocked out and made a crass comment about it on Twitter.
Kamaru Usman talks to Joe Rogan about Conor McGregor’s post-fight comments
On JRE MMA Show #128, Kamaru Usman addressed the Dublin-born fighter’s remark about not bringing children to fights. The former champion said, “My daughter is not only gonna see when daddy is victorious. And daddy just continues to beat everybody… I’m in a weird place. Like, I’m trying to teach her.”

“She has a work ethic. But it’s kind of like, ‘uh, I don’t want to do that today… ‘oh, I don’t like it anymore. I want to quit.'”
The Ultimate Fighter alumni added, “I’m blessed right now with an opportunity to show my daughter that ‘look, you could fall down and look how you can get back up.'”

“And someone like Conor, who actually does have children, to say something like that. It was like, man, you’re missing the mark big time bro. How often do you get an opportunity like that, where you can give them an example of how it is to rebound at the highest level?” the Nigerian concluded.
What did Conor McGregor say about Kamaru Usman’s daughter following UFC 278?
The climax of the welterweight contest at UFC 278 shocked the entire MMA community. They witnessed the pound-for-pound best falling down with a clean technique. And afterward, Usman’s daughter’s reaction melted the MMA world as well.

But the Irish star, who got knocked out at UFC 257 against Dustin Poirier, where he brought his kids to the fights, had a ‘deep’ feeling about it.

While the self-proclaimed ‘Face of the Fight Game’ mentioned nothing directly about Usman’s daughter, he responded to a post from a media member and talked about not bringing the family members to the Octagon side.
