Joe Rogan has shared an interesting story about UFC announcer Bruce Buffer in a recent edition of The Joe Rogan Experience.’ The famed UFC commentator always talks about interesting topics and issues with guests from various walks of life. Rogan was joined by internet celebrity Dave Portnoy on the #1920 episode of his podcast.

Bruce Buffer is known as the ‘Veteran Voice of the Octagon.’ He is famous for his “It’s time” catchphrase. Buffer joined the premier MMA organization in 1996 and has completed 27 years with UFC. He is also the half-brother of Michael Buffer, who is also a well-known announcer in American sports history.

Bruce Buffer has also worked as an announcer for K-1 MMA and the Abu Dhabi Combat Club. He is a skilled poker player and also made appearances on ESPN’s World Series of Poker Main Event. Bruce Buffer holds a black belt in Tang Soo Do which was introduced to him by a few students of Chuck Norris. He is now the official announcer for all the UFC events.

Joe Rogan tells how Bruce Buffer started working for UFC

Joe Rogan believes that Bruce Buffer is the best announcer in all of the sports. “Bruce Buffer is the greatest announcer in the history of the human race. No one gets more pumped up. That guy, he bleeds it,” said Rogan on his podcast. He also mentioned how the UFC came to sign Bruce Buffer in 1996. Rogan also mentions that Michael and Bruce Buffer never knew each other until the age of 30.

“The reason why the UFC got Bruce Buffer was because they didn’t have the money for Michael Buffer, and his brother Bruce was like ‘I can do it,” said Rogan. He added, “In the beginning, he was learning how to do it.”

Rogan states that Bruce Buffer wasn’t an expert right away. He has significantly improved his announcing since then. Rogan said, “If you go back and listen to Bruce Buffer’s early days of announcing, he wasn’t as good as he is now. He was learning how to do it. Now, he is the f*****g man!”
