Joe Rogan may have a background in martial arts, but he has become one of the most recognizable voices in showbiz. He has the world’s biggest podcast and has also become one of the best commentators in combat sports. However, Rogan also tried his hands at stand-up comedy. He recently revealed his experience in the early days of doing stand-up acts in a recent episode of his podcast. Rogan started doing comedy specials in 2005. He had a couple of people working for him who would film his comedy tours and release them on the ‘JoeShow’ series. The 55-year-old then proceeded to work on comedy specials and even signed a deal with Netflix. Some of his works include ‘Joe Rogan: Talking Monkeys in Space (2009),’Joe Rogan: Rocky Mountain High (2014),’ and ‘Joe Rogan: Strange Times,’ just to name a few.

Joe Rogan talks about the best thing he ever did

Joe Rogan has revealed that he never traveled alone during his early days of doing comedy gigs in different venues across the United States. He said, “The best thing that I did and I did it early on as I started bringing my opening acts, I brought guys who I knew were really funny. He added, “They were cool. I paid them … Instead of like, the club paying them because they were always underpaid, I pay for everybody. I pay for the tickets, I pay for the hotel.

The 55-year-old podcaster also mentioned that his friends would tell him how expensive it is to fly around together. But he insisted on traveling together. Rogan said, “That’s not an option. In my mind, then it’s depression weekend. Then it’s me, alone in a Phoenix hotel room.”

Rogan mentioned that without having his friends along, he hardly interacted with anybody else.
