A few countries have banned TikTok. Similarly, Donald Trump attempted to do the same during his run as the President of the United States. However, as a big chunk of the population was unhappy with this, he received criticism for it. But it looks like the UFC commentator and Joe Rogan Experience host Joe Rogan understands why Trump wanted to ban it.

In a new episode (#1847) of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience‘, Rogan was seen discussing the terms of service of the platform with guest, Theo Von. The terms on the platform have shocked the podcaster.
Joe Rogan was heard saying, “Oh my god, I read TikTok’s terms of service. I went down a TikTok rabbit hole yesterday. … I’m going to read you this because this is so crazy.”

Rogan read out some terms of the platform. Many people pointed out Donald Trump was in favor of banning the app because of the same reason.
A person wrote, “Everyone gave Trump a hard time when he wanted to ban tic toc.”
“It’s almost like there was a guy trying to ban it a few years ago,” commented another social media user.
A fan wrote, “Remember when Trump tried to ban it, and everyone lost their minds. Good times.”
“This is the exact reason why Trump wanted to ban the use of TikTok here in the U.S. but was unsuccessful in doing so because the reach and influence they had over users in the social media world was just too powerful and addictive to stop.”
Joe Rogan reads TikTok’s terms of service
While reading the privacy policy, Joe Rogan was shocked. He read, “This is from TikTok’s privacy policy. It said we collect certain information about the device you use to access the platform, such as your IP address, user region.”

“This is really crazy. User-agent, mobile carrier, time-zone settings, identifiers for advertising purpose, model of your device, the device system, network type, device ID’s, your screen resolution and operating system, app and file names and types.”

“So all your apps and all your file names. All the things you have filed away on your phone, they have access to that. … Key-stroke patterns or rhythms. So they’re monitoring your key-strokes, which means they know every f**king thing you type.”
