

The battle to change the way Twitter operates is still ongoing between Elon Musk and his critics. The Billionaire businessman has already made an unprecedented bid of $44 billion to completely acquire Twitter. Musk’s close friend, Joe Rogan, supported this move and backed him in this ongoing drama.

In the latest episode of JRE #1819, the UFC Icon sat down with his friend & elite athlete, Cameron Hanes. During the conversation, Rogan touched upon the prevalent drama between the Tesla owner and Twitter. He shared an interesting revelation that saw him gain an enormous amount of followers in a short amount of time.
He said,” What’s interesting is when Elon Musk said that he was going to buy Twitter and then he made an offer, and then Twitter accepted it. Immediately, I started getting way more followers, and I mean way more followers. From the time Elon Musk said that he was going to buy Twitter, they accepted it. I have gained 800 thousand followers. Yeah, it is like a 100 thousand in like last week or so.”

Rogan also went on to describe how this news has altered his engagement with his fans on Instagram as well. He stated that his official handle has become a lot slower and his engagement has been impacted seriously.
Joe Rogan & Spotify saga also enabled him to gain followers
Much like his friend Elon Musk, Rogan also went through a controversial phase of his own. Earlier in the year, the veteran comedian became the center of a major drama, over certain comments made during his podcast show. Despite facing an overwhelming amount of backlash, the UFC Icon still managed to come out on top.

Surprisingly, Rogan came out on top by gaining 2 million followers on Spotify.
Talking about the same he said,” During the height of it all, I gained two million subscribers… Yeah, [the media] went for it. It’s also fortunate that the people who went for it were CNN. They’re so untrustworthy and people know how biased they are and socially weird their anchors are.”
