For the most part, Joe Rogan is revered by his audience for delivering fascinating takes on a wide range of topics. However, the contrary also happens, as sometimes the ‘Podcast King’ ends up receiving some heat for his comments. Although backlash is nothing new for the UFC color commentator, this time the stakes might be a little higher, as a fellow female comedian’s sister has now come out complaining about Rogan’s influence.

In the American comedy circuit, Whitney Cummings is one of the well-known female comedians who is also a great friends with Rogan. Things definitely seem normal between them, but Whitney’s sister, Ashley Cummings, isn’t very thrilled about their camaraderie. Why? Because she got to know from the comedian’s boyfriend that Whitney’s using growth hormone, which Ashley revealed Rogan allegedly suggested she try.

Whitney Cummings’ sister takes aim at Joe Rogan over medical advice

“I open the door, and I see all these syringes in the bottom left, like, pocket of the car,” Ashley stated at the Mud Podcast. “And I’m, like, first of all, alarmed by the syringes. Like, what is my sister injecting herself with? He goes, oh, that’s just something that Joe Rogan tells her to take. When pressed further about the specific stuff, she recalled the boyfriend’s response: “I think it was human growth hormone and testosterone,” Ashley added.

Well, Rogan has been an open user of human growth hormone. Being in his late 50s, the veteran commentator has maintained that using HGH alongside a disciplined lifestyle and healthy diet helps him stay in good shape, something he believes supports long-term health. Still, that in itself is his personal choice.

However, where things turn concerning, at least from Ashley’s point of view, is the idea of  Joe Rogan advising Whitney Cummings to take the dosages. Well, whether the comedian consulted a doctor before injecting anything remains unclear. What is clear is that Ashley doesn’t like Rogan very much.

“I don’t like Joe Rogan at all. He gives her a lot of advice. I don’t know, like, what that whole sphere is about. But he tells her things to put in her body. He tells her what to do. Like, I did not like the vibe I got,” Ashley Cummings further added in the Podcast. “She’s like, ‘Joe is like our brother’. And I’m like, ‘he’s not my f—g brother. My brother lives in London. Joe Rogan is a f—g loser,” Ashley stated.

Now, after the famous female comedian’s sister’s revelation, both Rogan and Whitney Cummings are yet to address the issue publicly. But while we wait for their response, there’s another substance the ‘Podcast King’ believes could do wonders for the human body if treated the right way.

The UFC color commentator likes peptides

Just like human growth hormone, Joe Rogan also seems to be a fan of peptides. While there are definitely different types of peptides that can affect the human body in different ways, BPC-157 has worked perfectly for the longtime UFC color commentator. In one of his podcasts, the now 58-year-old revealed that he has personally used the peptide, which apparently helped him with recovery and healing.

“My doctor actually told me about peptides a long time ago,” Rogan told Andrew Schulz on the podcast, as per Liquid and Wellness IV’s article. “They accentuate healing. There’s a lot of articles about them. Athletes swear by them, particularly BPC-157. There’s a lot of evidence that it accelerates healing from injuries, and a lot of elite athletes swear by it.”

Rogan is definitely right that BPC-157 is often talked about for helping the body recover quickly. However, its usage has continuously come under scrutiny, especially in professional sports, as the UFC has banned the substance. And there’s also a very recent example that added fuel to the debate. After Kamaru Usman’s brother, Mohammed Usman, tested positive for a prohibited peptide, the promotion handed him a suspension. That situation, understandably, came with a cautionary tone around the substance.
