The BMF title has gained a lot of prominence after Dana White decided to bring it back and reinstate it in 2023. Furthermore, his decision to let fighters defend the title was an even bigger masterstroke. That decision got fans to see some jaw-dropping moments like Max Holloway‘s knockout of Justin Gaethje at UFC 300. As such, longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan has put forth his idea for who he thinks ‘Blessed’ should fight next, putting his BMF title up for grabs.

“We’re working on a lot of stuff right now, obviously we’ve got The Sphere coming up… we’ll get it figured out,” said Dana White at the UFC 302 pressers when reporters chimed in with the status of the next BMF fight. Well, Joe Rogan has a solution for the UFC CEO, and he shared his suggestion not only to White but also to the fans of the UFC.

Joe Rogan claims the Sphere should host the next BMF title defense of Max Holloway

Yes, Joe Rogan wants to witness another Max Holloway masterclass when the UFC hits the Sphere in Las Vegas. But who do you think he wants the champion to fight? Well, the 56-year-old is all in for a champion vs champion, a winner-take-all fight between ‘Blessed’ and featherweight champion Ilia Topuria. He shared a story of a fan-made poster of UFC 306, which had the two featherweight stars.

One thing is perfectly clear, Ilia Topuria has no problems fighting Max Holloway, but there’s a catch! The featherweight champion wants the Hawaiian native to also put his BMF title on the line, which is exactly what Joe Rogan has suggested to the 54-year-old MMA promoter. Meanwhile, Holloway is as ready as anyone to get his hands on the 145-er gold for another time.

As big as the fight sounds, having both belts on the line with Max Holloway and Ilia Topuria fighting for it at the $2.3 billion-worth Sphere could be a sight to behold. Moreover, this isn’t the first time Joe Rogan has ideated this fight because he even talked about the magnitude of the Topuria vs. Holloway fight a few weeks ago when Holloway appeared as the guest on his podcast.

Topuria vs Hollway would be “crazy,” says Rogan

No two ways about it. Joe Rogan firmly claimed that Max Holloway vs. Ilia Topuria would be a clash for the ages. When he sat down with the BMF champion, the 56-year-old would state, “You and Ilia will be crazy.” While Holloway is a legend and a veteran in the featherweight division, Ilia Topuria proved how tough he really is when he defeated Alexander Volkanovski, who’s arguably one of the greatest featherweights of all time.

Dana White has already promised to put on the biggest live combat sports event ever and what would be better than having a dual title fight? But we cannot be sure of anything because the 54-year-old has already splashed a lot of cash for the Sphere event, and some rumors suggest that we could find Conor McGregor fighting on that card, but can White incorporate both? That remains to be seen.
