In one segment, the two discussed the upcoming main event of UFC 276 between Adesanya and Cannonier. The two watched the old fight tapes of Adesanya early in his career while he was still kickboxing.

In particular, the two watched Adesanya’s fight against Alex Pereira. This match went viral as Adesanya was knocked out in it. While watching the fight, Rogan called Pereira to be “One of the scariest f**king strikers on planet Earth.” Rogan also mentioned how Pereira’s striking power was not to be taken lightly.

In an unprecedented turn of events, Pereira won both the kickboxing bouts. He then made a similar transition to Adesanya and shifted to the UFC. He is currently on a two-fight winning streak and will face off against the #4 contender, Sean Strickland, on the same card as Adesanya.

If both the fighters win their bouts, there is a high probability that the two will face each other next. The hype behind his potential matchup is unreal and it will be a gift to all fight fans.
